Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a wonderful family of four for a session that doubled as graduation portraits for the mother, who had just finished her teaching degree.
It was a perfect spring evening by the river, and I couldn’t have been more excited to capture these special moments!
Capturing Family Moments Along the River in Red Bluff
We met in the late afternoon when the golden spring light was just starting to soften, perfect for those warm, glowy images.
The family wanted their session to feel relaxed and natural, so we chose a spot along the riverbank, surrounded by fresh green grass and wildflowers.
For the first half of the session, we focused on capturing their family of four. The kids were full of energy, and I loved photographing their laughter and the little moments of connection between them.
Then, we shifted to celebrate Mom’s amazing achievement—graduating to become a teacher! She wore her cap and gown proudly, and we took portraits that highlighted both her joy and her gentle strength.
It was a beautiful moment to honor this milestone surrounded by the people who love her most.
