It was so good to see this family again! I love getting to meet up with my clients every year, some of them have become some of my closest friends. I photographed this family of four at a private property in Red Bluff, Ca …and it was just magical.

Preparing for a shoot ahead of time is the key to having a seamless photoshoot! This family did such a good job of that!
There is nothing like a big open field at sunset to me! All the grass here in Northern California is all dried up which makes for my favorite backdrop.
I loved these shots of these sweet mama and daughter!
Part of what I hope families walk away from a session with is the feeling of comfort and of having a good time!
Family photos don’t have to be strained or hard! They can be really enjoyable as long as we embrace the candid real life moments. That with a balance of classic portrait is what I aim for a family photographer.
We found a little nook tucked under a barn which made for some darling couples shoots for mom and dad…I may or may not have made them blush!
