This Spring family session was taken on a beautiful April day right here in Red Bluff, CA!
This family session was my first one back after a month-long break during the month of March. I took some time off to get my website up and running again, and if you are reading this…then you know it was a success!
I was completely honored to capture this precious family of three because this was their FIRST ever family photoshoot together. Thank you for choosing me!
Thankfully the weather was just beautiful. When it is Spring weather here in Northern California it can be fickle, so I was glad that it was a beautiful 70 degrees F. I was originally planning on another location, but as we were walking to the location in mind, I passed this gorgeous field. The lush green wispy grass was just too perfect for our Spring family session! I quickly nixed the first idea and shot in this field instead and love the results!
The movement through the grass was just so beautiful!
I had so much fun with these three as I coached and captured their love for one another. One of my favorite parts of my job is that I get to make people laugh…and when they laugh…I laugh!
I loved hearing about how they ended up back in Red Bluff together, and their future plans. Their precious four-month-old just melted my heart! He wasn’t so sure of my energetic shooting style as first, but he came around!
On this particular day, I had so much office and housework before this session, so it was a treat to run around and have a bit of fun at the end of the day. At the beginning of the session, we had even front light. At the end, I turned them away from the light for some dramatic backlighting. They were total rockstars since we had to go for a small hike to get to the second location!
